The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive is a worldwide event where owners of interesting old cars get together and take part in a drive for charity. From Argentina to Wales - and everywhere in between - weird and wonderful cars are dusted off and proudly driven in stylish convoy. Drivers and co-drivers are encouraged turn on the personal style too. The dress code is dapper.
It all started in 2021 and we took part in that inaugural event in Brisbane - it was great. So we were sure to sign for this event which was was bigger and better as the word has spread.
One of the things that is so great about this event is the eclectic nature of the vehicles that turn up. All cars was made before 1980 are eligible, which provides a broad range of options and this years event did not disappoint. From a vintage Hudson Indianapolis racer through to a Datsun 1200 ute, there was something for everyone.
We took the trusty MULO Alfa GT Veloce along and it performed perfectly. It was a lot of fun through the twisty roads around Mt Mee and coped well with the occasional snarl up.
